I was catching up on Rhea's blog today and saw the beautiful picture she had of her backyard. It just amazes me that we have such a contrast in weather from the West to the East. I just couldn't resist posting these....check out the amazing difference between Rhode Island and Southern California today.......incredible!

Happy Birthday Corinne!!! Surprise!

Today we celebrated Corinne's 77th birthday! Wow! She doesn't look a day over 57. =) Scott, Kelly, baby Jenna, Jamie and I all surprised Corinne at her house with an afternoon of food, fun and laughter! What wonderful neighbors we have....more like family than neighbors. Happy Birthday Corinne, we love you!

My favorite so far......Blue Nun anyone?

I just finished this one this morning. I painted for hours yesterday. I looked at the clock last night and all of the sudden it was 10:00! I get lost in the painting. =) I am very proud of this one. I am learning more each week and hope to just keep growing and growing and enjoying more and more. I keep tweaking this one but I think I am really done now. I might play with the cutting board and the label just a little more or maybe I will just stop. Who knows...that is part of the fun. You can just keep playing with it to make it your own.

Step 3........

This painting covers it all...shape, form, highlights, shadows, light, you name it. I still have a long way to go but here is step 3. I still have to add highlights, shadows, darken items, and so on. It is amazing how much we learn in 3 hours and how fast 3 hours goes! We are starting a new painting next Thursday so the rest of this one is "homework." I can hardly call it homework it is so relaxing but that is what it is! =) I will post the final painting next week.

Okay we are officially getting old!

Last night Jamie and I went to Tatiana's high school orientation...yes, that is right, HIGH SCHOOL!!! Our "baby" starts high school in July....how crazy is that!? The night was great because we ran into tons of parents that we have known since the kids were in kindergarten so we were all in the same boat of disbelief. High School!! Time is flying faster than I ever imagined. College will be here in no time! Our baby is all grown up!

Catching up with old friends..Thanks for a great time!

Just got back from dinner at Yolanda and Lee's house. Yolanda has known Jamie since 8th grade!! Wow what a long lasting friendship! Their house is beautiful and the company was fantastic! Thanks so much Yolanda and Lee for a wonderful dinner and fun night! Let's do it again soon!

The "Crew"...or at least part of them....

Celebrating Destinee's birthday with a sleepover at Marissa's house. Hmm which one is Destinee...could she be the one with the crown!? L. to R. Tatiana, Marissa, Destinee, Brenna, and Tiffany. Movies, eating, staying up very late according to Marissa's brothers, and hangin' out. Thanks for having them Sylvia!!! Now they are on the way to Destinee's for a sleepover tonight! The fun never ends! My turn next? =)
